Use this add-on for an elegant, floaty skirt that twirls around your ankles as you walk. Also called a "mermaid skirt" or "trumpet skirt". The flared flounce is sewn to the skirt without gathers.

Cut your usual skirt pattern 10" shorter. The flounce pattern has measurements along the top to help you match it to your pattern.

Fabric required: 1 yard (0.9 meters) fabric 45" (1.2 meters) wide to cut the flounce front and back.
