This basic dress pattern includes 12 sizes and detailed measurement charts. Each size has an optional full bust and small bust adjustment. Get a fit for your custom measurements with these 36 variations!

This cape dress has a flared skirt and elbow-length fitted sleeves with a few gathers. Choose either gathers or darts in the bodice. The skirt can be fitted, with optional darts or gathers. It has a center back zipper.

Fabric required: 2.5 - 3.25 yards of fabric.

Misses/Womens Size 2-24 (XS-4XL) | Bust Sizes 31-53

Bust measurement: The bust measurement is not your bra size (number). It is measured around the fullest part of the bust, and level across the back. You can use this measurement and your bra cup size (letter) to choose a size.

Upper bust measurement: Measure around the back, under the arms, and above the bust. The measuring tape will slant up on the sides.

For best accuracy, choose the pattern by both upper bust and bust measurement. Sometimes bra cup sizes are wrong, and also are measured differently for dress fitting.
